(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Geneva College is joining the fight against hunger by partnering with Feed My Starving Children to prepare 100,000 MannaPack meals for undernourished children on Friday, August 10 and Saturday, August 11, 2018. At least 500 volunteers are needed at Geneva’s Alexander Dining Hall to unload food, work, pack and pray.
This type of event, designed to help reverse and prevent undernutrition of children, is called MATT Pack 2535, based on Christ’s words in Matthew 25:35, “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” The August 10 and 11 MATT Packs are sponsored by the Albanese family and supported by Geneva.
Feed My Starving Children is a Christian non-profit dedicated to feeding undernourished children with nutritionally complete meals. With a passion to eradicate world hunger, the organization goes into every corner of the globe, including the most remote, isolated locations.
Those interested in volunteering for the MATT Pack event on Friday, August 10 and Saturday, August 11 can sign up now for two-hour shifts by contacting Andrew Fee at ajfee@geneva.edu.
