High Performing Undergraduates Can Now Earn Bachelor’s and MBA in Four Years
BEAVER FALLS, Pa., August 9, 2016 – Geneva College introduces a new scholars program today that enables high-performing undergraduate students to earn a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) in just four years. To be eligible for the 3+1 BSBA/MBA Scholars Program, Business and Accounting majors must demonstrate the skills and business acumen necessary to thrive while learning at an accelerated pace.
Dean of Undergraduate Programs, Melinda Stephens says, “The 3+1 BSBA/MBA Scholars Program creates opportunity for students to maximize their educational experience and minimize the time and cost to complete two degrees. However, it also requires a great deal of discipline and hard work and that is in keeping with Geneva’s reputation for rigorous academics.”
Some of the other benefits of the program include a competitive, one-year scholarship of $5,000, a 10% discount on MBA tuition, recognition on official transcripts and a chance to participate in a speaker series each semester.
Admittance requires students to demonstrate a high level of performance in response to a business case study and in interviews with faculty, as well as strong high school grades and standardized test scores. Successful 3+1 BSBA/MBA Scholars Program students will also need to complete six credits of internship, maintain a 3.4 GPA, and complete a scholars project in the third year of the program.
