Geneva College has partnered with three new schools for the Beaver County Direct Admission initiative: Ambridge, Freedom, and Hopewell. Through this initiative, Geneva offers guaranteed admission to any student who has a 3.0 GPA or higher at one of the partner schools.

The goal of the partnership is to create enrollment pathways for students and their families and remove some of the mystery and complexity that families face when applying for college. Additionally, it will help students understand that going to college is attainable.

"We're pleased to welcome additional school partners for our Direct Admission initiative," says Dave Layton, associate vice president of undergraduate enrollment. "It's encouraging to include more local students in this opportunity as we enter our second year of the program."

Geneva's Direct Admission initiative launched in September 2025. As of September 2026, the partner schools are:

• Ambridge Area Senior High School
• Beaver Area High School
• Beaver Falls High School
• Blackhawk High School
• Freedom Area Senior High School
• Hopewell Senior High School
• Riverside High School

Students receive their Direct Admission offer in the mail in early fall, alongside an academic scholarship commensurate with their high school GPA.

Speaking on the initiative at its launch, Beaver County Commissioner Jack Manning says, “Geneva College has been at the forefront in enhancing quality of life in Beaver County. This initiative is another example of Geneva investing in our future by providing enrollment pathways for Beaver County students and their families. It’s another reason why I so appreciate Geneva’s partnership in helping us continue to build the workforce needed to grow Beaver County.”

The Direct Admission initiative supports the Geneva Tuition Promise , which covers all tuition costs for any eligible student in Pennsylvania who comes from a family earning less than $70,000 annually.
