(BEAVER FALLS, Pa.) – Geneva College will host two information sessions on the new Masters of Science in Cybersecurity - the first on Tuesday, July 24, and the second on Wednesday, August 1. Both sessions will be held on Geneva’s campus in the Science & Engineering Building, room 341, from 5 to 6 p.m. Parking is available without a permit in the Alumni Lot or around Northwood Hall.

The information sessions allow students to meet faculty and the enrollment manager to learn about requirements and curriculum, to discuss the program fit and to ask questions. A light buffet will be served. Prospective students have the option to attend one of the sessions and can register at Geneva.edu/ms-cybersecurity.

Geneva’s recently launched M.S. in Cybersecurity program begins in the fall of 2018. Worldwide spending on cyber defense will exceed $1 trillion between 2017 and 2021, reports Cybersecurity Online. A master’s degree in Cybersecurity students will develop managerial and leadership skills in the growing field of computer system protection, device and data recovery, and digital forensics. Well-qualified leadership in this young field is in high-demand, and with a Cybersecurity Master’s degree, students gain the qualifications to compete for advancements and leadership positions in cybersecurity.

The program educates students in vital topics like Principles of Cybersecurity, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Incident Response, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity, Cyberlaw and Cyberethics, Faithful Hacking, Digital Forensics, Operating Systems: Linux, Windows and Virtualization, and Cloud Security.
