Kendra Detwiler joins the Geneva College faculty as associate professor of nursing. She began teaching Healthcare Informatics and Nursing Ethics as an adjunct in Geneva’s nursing program in the fall of 2022.

Detwiler has worked for 25 years at UPMC Passavant Hospital. She has over 35 years of experience as a professional nurse, including med-surg, emergency, school, long-term care, neurosurgery, and nursing informatics. She also has over 20 years of experience as a camp nurse and coordinator of health services.

She earned an MA in nursing education from Western Governors University and a BSN from Messiah College. She is a registered nurse with the Pennsylvania Board of Nursing, holds her School Nurse Certification from Slippery Rock University, and has her Informatics Nursing Certification (NI-BC).

Detwiler attends Northgate Church in Pittsburgh, PA.
